Overview:
Symtoms: When you log into the Link2Exchange network via VPN tunnel, you must input your password every time you reconnect.
Resolution: Having to re-enter your password for each connection is how the system was designed. The goal of a VPN tunnel is
to provide secured access over the Internet. Saving user passwords is a security risk because if a user's laptop
were taken then the thief would have full access to the user's email through Link2Exchange.
Link2Exchange has put in a feature request with the VPN client's designer to add the ability for users to optionally
save their password. If the feature is added, you won't have to reconfigure anything on your machine. A 'Save Password'
checkbox will automatically appear in your VPN client under where you type in your username and password.
For now, you will be required to enter in your username and password each time you connect. Once we add the option to
save your password, we will still strongly recommend not saving it so as to maintain the highest level of security possible.
