Using Share Point

SharePoint Service: Your organization will need to have a Link2exchange SharePoint account that has your domain and users already enabled for the SharePoint service. If you have not signed up with our SharePoint service, contact our sales department for more details. Email sales@link2exchange.com or call 888-509-8555 Ext. 301

Adding additional users to your existing SharePoint service: If your domain is already setup with our SharePoint service and you want to add additional users or enable currently listed users to share this service with. You can add or enable the selected users in your organization through your Link2exchange SharePoint Control Panel  (www.link2exchange.com) logged on as admin@yourdomainname.com.

Using Share Point

*First logon to your assigned SharePoint web-site with the same username & password as your exchange account.

For Example: SharePoint Site: http://sp.yourdomainname.com  

*When you first logon to your new SharePoint site, you will need to choose what type of Template you will want to use.

NOTE: Most users use the TEAM SITE Template. However, by clicking on each template you will get a brief description of what the templates can offer your organization.

For this example, we selected the TEAM SITE Template-

*This page will give you access to specify who can access your new SharePoint site. Select what users from your domain that has permission to Visit, what Members have access to contribute and what users have access as Owners (full Control) of your SharePoint site.

NOTE: You can add the users by clicking and finding them within your SharePoint address book. If the user does not exist within the SharePoint address book, then you will need to add the SharePoint services for that users account within your Control Panel. (www.link2exchange.com). *This page is a basic view of your new SharePoint template.

*Users with Owner and Members permissions will have access to the SharePoint Site Actions features.This feature will give you access to Create, Edit Page and to have access to Site Settings

Create: You can use the listed templates available or create a customized template that fits your needs.

Edit Page: This page allows you to organize your SharePoint web page

Site Settings: This page allows control over your SharePoint site and users

Advanced Permissions: This page gives the Owner (Full Control) over accessing the following: New, Actions and Settings

NEW- This menu will allow you to Add Users and New Groups

ACTIONS- This menu will allow you to Remove User Permissions and Edit User Permissions

Settings: This menu will allow you to administer Access Requests, Anonymous Access and Permission Levels

Access Requests: Allow users to request access to this Web site. All requests for access will be sent to the e-mail address listed in the web pages listed field. The owner of the e-mail address should have the Full Control permission level

Anonymous Access: Specify what parts of your Web site (if any) anonymous users can access. If you select Entire Web site, anonymous users will be able to view all pages in your Web site and view all lists and items which inherit permissions from the Web site. If you select Lists and libraries, anonymous users will be able to view and change items only for those lists and libraries that have enabled permissions for anonymous users.

Permission Levels: This Web page has unique permission levels

*If you need help using the templates or SharePoint in general, click on the question mark in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

*The SharePoint help files can help you create and understand how you can use this service for your organization.

In the upper right hand corner of your screen, you can click on the arrow next to Welcome. This sub-menu allows you to adjust your account profile settings, sign in as a different user, request access and to sign out.
