Reconfiguring the Blackberry Desktop Manager Software to connect to Link2Exchange
Document: Q1048
Overview:
This document assumes that you already have the BlackBerry Desktop Software installed for use with desktop redirection or another e-mail system. It explains how to reconfigure the blackberry desktop software to work with a BES server.
NOTE: These instructions have not been found to be reliable. We list them here only because when they work they are an enormous time saver. This article will be removed in the near future, however, because it works very rarely. We recommend using the HOWTO article (linked in 'Related Documents' below) to perform a clean uninstall of your desktop manager rather than using the procedure listed below.
Procedure:
- Click Start-->Settings-->Control Panel.
- Double click Add/Remove Programs.
- Highlight (by clicking) the BlackBerry Desktop Management Software.
- Click Change/Remove
- Choose Modify, click Next
- Choose Blackberry Enterprise Server or Desktop Redirector, Click Next
- Choose Microsoft Exchange, click Next
- Choose Redirect Mail Using the Blackberry Enterprise Server, Click Next
- Click Finish.
