 Troubleshooting
Received error: 'Redirection settings not available without online connection to email system
Document: Q1267
Overview:
In order for your Blackberry Desktop Manager to synchronize your Blackberry to the Link2Exchange server it must first be attached to an Outlook profile which connects to us. If you installed Desktop Manager before you joined Link2Exchange, your Outlook profile has become corrupted or changed or the Blackberry Desktop Manager has been corrupted, you may need to reinstall Desktop Manager from scratch.
Procedure:
- Make sure your Outlook connection to Link2Exchange is, in fact, working.
- If Desktop Manager and/or Outlook are open, close them/it.
- Click Start->Programs->Blackberry->Desktop Manager.
- You'll be prompted for your Username, Password and Domain Name.
 Your username is your full email address. (e.g. joeuser@link2exchange.com) You password is your email password. You will not need to put in a domain name as it will grey itself out when you enter in your username. Click OK.If you receive the error message, "Your Mail Server Does not Support Wireless Synchronization" then your account has not been activated on the BES server. If so, Activate your Blackberry Live Integration now! (Account activation takes 1 business day. You will receive email confirmation when the activation is complete.)
- Double-click Redirector settings. If you still receive the same error message, re-install Desktop Manager.
- To perform a clean uninstall, see: our KB article on performing a 'clean uninstall' of Blackberry Desktop Manager.
- To re-install, see: our KB article on installing Blackberry Desktop Manger.
- Finally, to configure your new Desktop Manager, see: our KB article on configuring Blackberry Desktop Manager to connect to Link2Exchange.
- Re-open Desktop Manager and double-click Redirector settings. If it still won't open, contact support at .
