Overview:
Blackberry handhelds running software version 4.0 or greater can now wirelessly activate their accounts. This is done using the enterprise activation procedure (linked under 'Related Documents' below).
If you have followed that procedure but are still stuck on 'Activating...' after 5 minutes of waiting for it to activate then do the following:
Procedure:
- Check your Activation Settings
- If you have changed your reply-to address on your Link2Exchange account make sure you're using the reply-to address as your email address when activating your Blackberry.
- Make sure you use the Blackberry Activation Password that was emailed to you, not your regular email password.
- NOTE: If you have tried to activate more than 5 times and failed or you have waited more than 48 hours since you received your activation password then your password has expired and must be reset. Contact Link2Exchange Support and request to have your Blackberry activation password reset. (Make sure to include your Blackberry PIN number in your request.)
- Make sure your Link2Exchange account can receive email sent to your reply-to address.
- From a non-Link2Exchange email account, send a message to your reply-to email address.
- Check that you receive it at your Link2Exchange account. Email sent to your reply-to address must reach the Link2Exchange server in order for you to wirelessly activate your Blackberry device.
- If you receive an error message, copy and paste the message with full headers into the support form at http://www.link2exchange.com/support.htm.
- If you still cannot activate, contact Link2Exchange support at for more assistance.
