Managing your DNS via the Link2Exchange control panel

Overview:
If you requested to have your DNS handled by Link2Exchange then you can manage your DNS information through our control panel.In order for your mail delivery to work properly, you MUST add the MX records listed below.
Procedure:
- Log in to the Link2Exchange control panel as the admin account for your account.
- Add the DNS MX records to the Link2Exchange server.
- Under Microsoft DNS, click List Zones. If you do not see a Microsoft DNS section in your control panel, contact Link2Exchange support to activate DNS management on your account.
- Click the radio button next to the domain to add DNS records for then click List Records.
- If it's not already there, add the mail hostname to point to Link2Exchange's exchange server.
- Click Add Host Record.
- Next to Name, type in mail.
- Next to IP Address, type in 66.211.136.1.
- Click Add.
- You can add other hostnames, for example www or ftp, in the same fashion but make sure to find out the correct IP address to point those hostnames to before adding them.
- POSTINI USERS ONLY: Add these four MX records to point to Link2Exchange's exchange server.
Only use these MX records if your domain has a plan that includes the Postini anti-spam/anti-virus service or you have added it to your account manually. (In other words, this is for the $14.95 plan only. If you add these records and you're not on the $14.95/user plan then it will break your email delivery until it is corrected.)
- Click Add MX Record.
- Leave mail domain blank.
- Next to Mail Server, type in: domain.com.s5a1.psmtp.com
- Next to Mail Server priority, type 100.
- Click Add.
- Click Add MX Record.
- Leave mail domain blank.
- Next to Mail Server, type in: domain.com.s5a2.psmtp.com
- Next to Mail Server priority, type 200.
- Click Add.
- Click Add MX Record.
- Leave mail domain blank.
- Next to Mail Server, type in: domain.com.s5b1.psmtp.com
- Next to Mail Server priority, type 300.
- Click Add.
- Click Add MX Record.
- Leave mail domain blank.
- Next to Mail Server, type in: domain.com.s5b2.psmtp.com
- Next to Mail Server priority, type 400.
- Click Add.
- NON-POSTINI ORGANIZATIONS: Add the MX records to point to Link2Exchange's exchange server.
- Click Add MX Record.
- Leave mail domain blank.
- Next to Mail Server, type in: mail.link2exchange.com.
- Next to Mail Server priority, type 10.
- Click Add.
- Once you've completed the MX record configuration for your domain, contact your registrar and have them repoint your DNS to the following servers:
- ns1.link2exchange.com
- ns2.link2exchange.com
- That's it! You've now provisioned and configured DNS for your domain. You can modify these settings at any time. DNS changes take 24 hours to propagate through the Internet so while changes take effect on our server immediately you may not see them for 24 hours.
