Mail routing configuration for 'Full Control' e-mail accounts
Document: Q1302
Overview:
Users who are hosting their e-mail and domain name services (DNS) with Link2Exchange must follow the steps below to configure their domain to point to the Link2Exchange servers. The DNS configuration required for e-mail (MX records, etc) will be handled by Link2Exchange automatically when your account is activated.
Procedure:
To configure your domain to point to Link2Exchange's DNS servers...
Log into your domain registrar's web site.
To find your registrar's website, go to uWhoIS and do the following:
Next to Search, type in your domain name (without the www).
Click Go.
Scroll down until you see a 'Referral URL'. That's the website you'll need to log into in order to update your DNS settings.
Log into your registrar's website so you can update your DNS settings. Note: If you don't know your domain's username/password with your registrar, look for a link to contact them so you can get that information. It is required in order for you to update your DNS.
Update your DNS servers to point to the following:
ns1.link2exchange.com
ns2.link2exchange.com
Save the new configuration. NOTE: A change to your DNS servers take up to 72 hours to take full effect but generally is fully implemented by the registrar overnight.
