Overview:
With the Blackberry, you can be notified of incoming emails with a tone, vibration or both. Sometimes when you look at your mail after being notified, it may appear that there are no new messages.
Procedure:
Typically this problem occurs when you pull your handheld out of its holster to silence the notification and then put it back in the holster. The Blackberry opens the new message by default when you pull it out of the holster and closes it when you put it back in. This action causes the message to be listed as 'Read' instead of 'Unread'. The message is still there, however. Just open the most recent message and it'll be the new one even though it's marked as having been previously read.
