 Troubleshooting

I composed a message on my Blackberry and selected Send but it hasn't been sent yet.

Document: Q1096

Overview:

There are a couple of reasons why your Blackberry may not be sending messages.
  • If there's a clock icon next to the unsent message, you're not in coverage. Even if your Blackberry shows coverage, you must be covered by a tower capable of sending data. Not all cellular towers can send data so if a clock appears, try moving to another location. (NOTE: On NexTel phones, make sure the status code reads NXTL (all capital letters). A lowercase letter 'X' indicates no data coverage.)

  • If there's a red 'X' next to the unsent message, something happened during transmission. Open the message and scroll to the top of it. The message status field will indicate what happened to it. Refer to the FAQ link below for Sending messages error status codes and their meanings.
