 Troubleshooting

I've set my alarm, but it doesn't go off.

Document: Q1085

Overview:

Blackberry handheld devices have a built-in alarm which you can set to notify you when a certain time of day arrives.

Procedure:

NOTE: To change any of the settings below, click on the setting you want to change and select 'Change Option' from the drop-down menu. Scroll to the selection you want and click on it. Make sure to save any changes you make by clicking on any option and scrolling down to and clicking on Save in the drop-down menu.
  1. Make sure your current time is set correctly on the Blackberry.
  2. Go into your Alarm settings.
  3. Make sure your Alarm is active (or is set to 'On' - depends on the model Blackberry you're using).
  4. If you want the alarm to alert you on the weekend, make sure 'Active on Weekends' is set to 'Yes'.
  5. Save any changes you made to your alarm settings.
  6. On your mail screen, make sure a bell appears next to the time. This indicates that the alarm has been set.
