HOWTO: Share your Calendar with anyone in your organization who's on the Link2Exchange server

Document: Q1333

Overview:

On the Link2Exchange servers, people within an organization can give other people within their organization. In other words, a salesperson can, for example, grant permission for the VP of Sales to view his Calendar, Contact List and 'Sales Leads' email folder. That manager may have read-only access, full access or something in between such as the power to modify only items he/she added.

The instructions below are for sharing your Calendar with another user in your organization.

Procedure:

To grant permission for other users to access certain folders, for example Calendar.

Launch your Outlook and logon to your Link2Exchange account, you@yourdomain.com.

*Right Click on your Calendar and go to Properties then Permissions.

*Click ADD, then add the user you want to be able to view your calender (Example: user@domain.com) and set the permission level you wish to give, for example Contributor.

*Click Apply

Now that you gave the user permission to view your calendar, test. Logon to Outlook with the account you gave permissions to.

*Go to file, open, and open other user’s folder.

*Click on the name and choose your account, you@yourdomain.com.

*Click on the Folder type, in this case choose Calendar.

*Your calendar should now be viewable by the account you gave permissions to.
