HOWTO: Register your Blackberry on your cellular provider's network.

Overview:

In order to send or receive data wirelessly with your Blackberry, it must be registered on your cellular provider's network. If your data connection isn't work (you're not able to view web pages or send/receive e-mail) then follow the steps below to re-register your phone on your cell carrier's network then try again.

Procedure:

  1. On your Blackberry device's home screen, click Options.
  2. Click Host Routing Table.
  3. Click to drop down the menu then click Register Now.
  4. Click OK.
You should receive an email in Messages on your phone stating that 'Your handheld has been registered with the wireless network.' If this doesn't happen, contact your cellular provider to ensure your account has an active data plan.
