HOWTO: Recover Deleted items through Outlook

Document: Q1329

Overview:

If you deleted an email and emptied the Deleted Items folder, but later realize that you want to retrieve that item, Outlook provides a way to recover items after you have permanently deleted them, including after emptying the Deleted Items folder. The Link2exchange server’s administrators have specified the retention time for permanently deleted items on the Exchange server for up to 48 hours. After this time has elapsed, you can no longer recover the deleted items.

Procedure:

To use the Recover Deleted Items feature, open Outlook, highlight your Deleted Items folder. Go to the Tools menu and choose Recovered Deleted Items. Highlight the deleted items you wish to recover and choose Recover selected items.

Keywords:

recover, deleted
