Overview:
If your company uses Public Folders to store important Calendar information, it is possible to sync with that calendar. However, you cannot use Blackberry wireless sync if you want to do this. Blackberry wireless sync can only connect to your Calendar, not a public folder calendar and as soon as wireless sync is enabled it erases all entries in your Blackberry calendar and replaces them with what in your Calendar on our server.
Only do this if syncing your public folder calendar is more important than wirelessly syncing your calendar.
Procedure:
- Connect your VPN client to Link2Exchange.
- Open Outlook and log in.
- Open your Blackberry Desktop Manager.
- Connect your Blackberry to your PC.
- Double-click Intellisync.
- Click Configure PIM.
- Click Calendar then click Choose.
- Under 'Available Translators', click MS Outlook.
- Click Browse.
- Browse through the Public Folders and click on the Calendar you want to sync with.
- Click Add.
- Click OK.
- Click OK two more times.
- Make sure Synchronize PIM is checked (at the least), really all four boxes should be checked.
- Click Synchronize now.
That's it! Your calendar will synchronize whenever your sync through Desktop Manager.
