Overview:

Over time many users Blackberry devices become cluttered with applications, making it hard to find what you want when you want it. Thankfully, there's an alternative to removing seldom-used applications: you can hide them! Follow the procedure below to hide unused icons.

NOTE: Some icons, such as Options, cannot be hidden. Most can be hidden, though. The only way to know is to try.

Procedure:

  1. Go to your Blackberry device's home screen.
  2. Highlight the icon for the application on the home screen which you wish to hide.
  3. Press and hold the half-moon key then click the trackwheel to pull down the icon manipulation menu.
  4. Click Hide Application.
If you looking for an icon which you've hidden, see HOWTO: Show all icons on your Blackberry device's home screen (including hidden ones)
