Overview:
All Link2Exchange accounts are assigned a certain amount of disk space, called a quota, for their mailbox. (The default quotas are 200MB for a $9.95 plan and 400MB for a $14.95 plan).
To determine how much disk space you're currently using, follow the procedure below.
Procedure:
- Open Outlook and log into your Link2Exchange account.
- Click Go->Folder List.
- Right-click 'Mailbox - Your Name' and click Properties for "Mailbox - Your Name".
- Click the General tab.
- Click the Folder Size button on the bottom of the window.
- Click the Server Data tab. This will begin calculating the disk space in use on our server.
- Take the number next to Total Size and divide it by 1024. The folder size is listed in kilobytes and Link2Exchange uses megabytes for its quotas. 1024KB = 1MB which is why we're dividing by 1024.
- To calculate the number of MB in use, click Start->Run.
- Type calc and click OK.
- Type in the number shown next to Total Size (above).
- Click the division symbol: '/'.
- Type in 1024 and click the equals sign: '='. This number is the total number of MB in use on your account.
If you'd like to add more disk space to your account, see: Pricing for extra storage space for your Link2Exchange email account(s) then Changing a user's mail quota via the Link2Exchange Control Panel.
