Overview:
By default the Blackberry web browser will close if you press and hold the Escape key (just under the trackwheel). The problem is that the Escape key is also used to go Back to the previous page. If you accidentally hold it too long, it'll close your web browser. You can change the configuration so that it will ask if you want to close your web browser before it actually closes it to prevent this from happening.
Procedure:
- On your Blackberry device's home screen, click Blackberry Browser.
- Click the trackwheel to bring up the drop-down menu and click Options.
- Click General Properties.
- Scroll to highlight the value next to Closing Browser on Escape.
- Click the trackwheel to bring up the drop-down menu and click Change Option.
- If this is the last option you want to change, hit the Escape key on your handheld (just below the trackwheel) then click Save.
- Hit the Escape key again to leave the Options screen.
