Overview:
Business accounts (aka 'organizations') have access to change or enable/disable notifications sent to their users when they reach their mailbox quota. This is done through the Link2Exchange control panel. These notifications are sent to warn your users that they are nearing their disk quota (or have reached it) so that they know to delete or archive old email. (See 'Related Documents' below for a KB article on archiving old email in Outlook.)
Procedure:
- Log in to the Link2Exchange control panel as the admin account for your domain (admin@domain.com).
- Under Organization, click Services.
- Click the radio button next to Hosted Exchange 2003 then click Overview.
- Click the radio button next to Hosted Exchange 2003 again then click Edit.
- To enable mailbox quota notifications, put a check next to 'Enable Notifications' then click Save.
- To disable mailbox quota notifications, remove the check next to 'Enable Notifications' then click Save.
- Once the process completes, the organization's user quota notification policy will be updated.
Link2Exchange strongly recommends leaving the default messages as they are. If you want to add a link to our Knowledge Base article on archiving email, scroll to the bottom of each text box and add the following line at the end of the text box:
For information on manually archiving your old email (to free up space in your account now), see http://www.link2exchange.com/kb/?documentid=102.
For information on automatically archiving your old email (to free up space in your account now and in the future), see http://www.link2exchange.com/kb/?documentid=103.
If you've accidentally deleted the default messages from the textbox, just cut and paste the messages below back into them. These are the default messages.
