Auto Discover setup for Outlook and Exchange 2007

Overview:

The Autodiscover service uses a user's e-mail address or domain account to automatically configure the user's profile. By using the e-mail address or domain account, the Autodiscover service provides the following information to the client computer that is running Outlook 2007

Procedure:

NOTE: In your domains external DNS zone file, have your DNS provider remove any HOST (A) or CNAME records for the Autodiscover service.

 

Use the following parameters to create a new SRV record

 

Domain name: yourdomainname.com

Service: _autodiscover

Protocol: _tcp

Priority: 0

Weight: 0

Port Number: 443

Host: mail.exmx.net

 

NOTE: DNS will need time to propagate the new update.
